Bethlehem, Pennsylvania has been the home to Celtic Cultural Alliance since 1986. At that time the goal of the founders was to create an event that symbolized the Celtic spirit and history, and to provide the impetus for an organization that focused on promoting Celtic culture. From that dream came the Celtic Classic. Twenty plus years later this organization has evolved into a vibrant organization internationally recognized for promoting and preserving Celtic Culture.

Philadelphia GAA Games Development Committee Cul Camp July 20-24

The Allentown Hibernians Hurling Club, in partnership with the Philadelphia Gaelic Athletic Association Games Development Committee, will be sponsoring a five-day Gaelic Football Cul Camp for children ages 7-13 from July 20-24, 10 A.M. - 2:30 PM, at Haines Mill Field in Allentown.  The cost of the five-day camp is $100, and each Cul Camp participant will recieve a GAA backpack, jersey, and shorts. Please find attached a registration and information form.

Gaelic Football is one of the national games of Ireland and is administered by the GAA in Croke Park, Dublin, celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2009.  Philadelphia has two youth Gaelic Football clubs, and New York has several as well.  Gaelic Football is primarily a summer sport and is similar to soccer, with a few rules differences.  To our knowledge, this is the first time a camp has been offered in the Lehigh Valley region.  It would be a great opportunity to introduce children to the game of Gaelic Football.   Click here for registration form!
